I need relationship advice....(read on)?

My boyfriend said something really mean the other day.... okay so he was just playing around but it really ended up hurting my feelings...me and him and a couple of friends were sitting around chit chatting when my girlfriend and i started joking aound in front of our boyfiends saying that we were going to apply at a strip bar. then my boyfriend blurts out that only "slim" gils can work at strip bars. i dont get why a boyfriend that says "he loves me" and cares about me would say something like that when he knows i have "issues" with my weight as it is. i am not fat, im sort of a curvy girl but all in all not as skinny as i wish i were. and he knows this...i dont get why he would say this? what should i do???

well, he just means that you're not skinny.... nothing wrong with that because he obviously likes it. Don't worry about it unless he starts making an issue about your weight. Good luck.

I would take my curvy butt down to the strip bar, fill out an application, get the job and tell your hubby that he can have a lap dance and you will give him a discount, maybe 10%. Put the money in the bank and probably he won't say much for quite sometime and in the interrum enjpy the job and the money. Lap dances from curvy girls are erotic and make pretty good tips. Give new meaning to, "Be careful what you ask for!"

He loves you I'm sure, but he's just letting out his true feelings in a joking manner... at least he didn't say "only pretty girls work at strip bars" or "you're too dumb to work in a strip bar" or "you'd bend the bar" or "is this a strip bar for the blind"

*sigh*, unfortunatly I have seen and heard this senorio to many times in my life... I have 3 sons, and one has a big mouth just like your B/F does.... they pop off their mouth without thinking of any damage or hurt feelings they may cause by their words.... You need to face him down.... let him know in no uncertain terms you will NOT tolerate that kind of disrepect, joking or not, that you are unwilling to play such games... tell him straight out and to the point how those words made you feel and why.... then if he can not are will not abide by the boundries you set then, let him find some one else to disrespect....... Ah, young love. You are insecure and he is a show-off, opposites attract. You can either be honest with him and tell him how you feel, get over it, or find someone who respects you for who you are and doesn't have to make fun of their girlfriend in front of a room full of people just to feel like "one of the boys" or a "man."

To begin with you had no business bringing up such a conversation if you have issues abut your weight. Im sorry to have to say this but if the truth hurts sometimes and if you don't want your feelings hurt next time don' bring up such stupid topics trying to get his goat it definately backfired in your face.

And most times when they are joking it really comes off the wrong way.
Let him know how it made you feel and talk about it.

Tell him how you feel and that it really hurt you. Ask him about it.
And hope he understands.
Tell him that you wish he wouldn't say that anymore and say you love him so much and hope for the best.

He was probebly just showing off in front of his friends...it's your decision to just blow the situation off or talk to him about it...my opinion is to talk to him about it and try to get an appology...
