I suppose you have the "right" to feel depressed. Do you *want* to feel depressed? This is usually what people mean when they say they have a "right" to something...that it is something they "want."

We have all met people who did not like us for some reason or other...it takes all kinds to make a world.

This person sounds like someone best avoided, and that's okay. She doesn't want to be your friend, but there wil be plenty of others who *will* choose friendship with you. So relax and enjoy *those* people when you are around them, and let bus-girl be who *she* is as well.

And don't forget that junior high/high school does not go on forever. You'll be out of there one day, and encounter *plenty* of people you will know and love, and who will know and love you in return.

What?! That is terrible. It doesn't matter if it was a retort to something that you said or it was out of the blue...that is a very mean thing to say. I would also be pretty upset if someone told me that, but it's not true, and you shouldn't listen to it. If you are really depressed though, you should see a counselor...I've been clinically depressed in my life and I'm fine now...you'll be fine. Just put it behind you, it was mean. But yes, you do have the right to be depressed.

We all feel depressed at times but we don't need to be pushed into feeling that way it happens naturally often enough. She probably just had issues of her own and thought that she was cool by being hard. That should not be a reason for you to want to kill yourself... what else is going on? And do you really think that it is something you can't change and is worth dying over?

Just remember what age you were when this person said this.
Are you more mature and grown up now. Kids and teens say things
all the time and I am sure that it hurt your feelings and yes you have to right to be upset but you are older now and it is hard to believe that you are still holding that in. Don't carry that thought with you, let it go and get on with your life.

People say mean things to hurt others and to make themselves feel better because their lives are miserable.
Ask yourself what is really depressing you, what else is going on in your life that would make you react in such a way to a comment like that. talk to a professional counselor about what is going on in your life. it will help. if you have suicidal thoughts you should call 911 right away.

You have the right to be depressed, but people also have the right to tell you that the way you are behaving in your depressed state is annoying. She should not have been so harsh and insensitive though.

If you are depressed you really owe it to yourself to work towards healing whatever is at the root of your problems. Life is too precious to not try.

don't even listen to stuff like that....really....she's a psychoidiot (my own term) and you're taking it to heart. Guard your heart more carefully. And you are entitled to all your feelings....just don't act on all of them! Remember suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem....so what is really bothering you? Find someone who will listen (therapist?) a reliable friend? the suicide hotline? and talk...look for a different perspective and be open to the variety of choices you have....and you do have a variety of choices. This too shall pass.....you can always find a twelve step group for free group counseling....good luck!

Depression is human nature. We all get that way. Please do not let what other people say bring you down. I know it is easier said than done, but you need to let that stuff go in one ear and out the other. You are your own person and I am sure very beautiful inside and out. Do not sweat the small stuff and remember,Misery loves company.

Don't worry about that *****, but I do think you have the right to be depressed. Don't be afraid of your emotions, suppressing them is not healthy. Feel depress, don't force yourself to be happy, feel your emotions. Wish there was something better I could say or do to cheer you up!! Sorry
