Mat 6:3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
Mat 6:4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

I think the passage you are looking for is in Matthew chapter six. In the chapter Jesus speaks of giving to the needy and not allowing you left hadn to know what your right hand is doing. Hope this is what you were looking for. By the way, if you get stumped again you can go to biblegateway.com and do a keyword search.

I think it's kind of in that section of the new testament where it says something about going into your closet to pray and not stand around on corners beating your breast and bragging about how good you are. Sorry, that's all the time I can spend on this for just two points.

Jesus said that Himself. He said not to let your left hand know what your right hand was doing. He said you should give alms in secret, so that your Father in heaven may reward you openly. The story is in all four Gospels. If you need chapter and verse, you can find it on www.biblegateway.com

I think that it is more humble and true to keep it to yourself, because if you go around saying "Hey, I just gave $100,000 to the poor", it's known that you only did it for praise, but only God deserves any type of praise. If you keep it to yourself, then it's between you and God, and you'll be blessed for it when you get to heaven. Hope I helped ya! Bless you..

Never mind if you don't know where in the BIBLE does it say to DO GOOD TO OTHERS, what's important is that you're doin it. According to JESUS, there are only TWO COMMANDMENTs that summarizes our RELATIONship with GOD and our FELLOWmen: Love GOD with all your HEART, with all your SOUL, with all your MIND, and with all your STRENTGH, and LOVE your NEIGHBOR as yourself! In these two commandments REST all the other COMMANDments.

Any thing "Good" you do for "others', and brag about it, YOU just got your reward, from the applause. lol

Matt Ch.6
