Considering that they can't speak english and I can't understand dog, I don't know. I never asked them either. I just go to the store and buy their food. They don't get a choice.

The commercial stuff is horrible for your pets.
See the responce a few before mine. I take no risks with my Dalmatian and cook her food. She eats chicken legs (meat picked off the bone by me) or lean ground beef...both cooked, rice, green beans or chick peas, green peas, cooked carrots, cheese (cottage and American), broccoli and a variety of other treats. She does like chicken jerky tenders and dog treats from Petco. Also, My cooked food seems to be cheaper in the long run....I did try Beneful meals in the little Tupperware looking containers and she liked those, but the cost was high when not on sale. YES, I spoil my pooch......after all, she is part of our family. She is not overweight either (48 pounds at 16 mos....she is active and burns it off....plus she is small for her breed.)

Dont be so cruel. Get off the commercial bandwagon. Do you realise that 99 percent of all commercial foods will and does posion your animals, and causes dis-eases like, allergies, seizures, cancers, liver problems, kidney failure, heart disease, what more do you want. Try a wholly organic food source, for the sake of you loved ones. Did you know there is no animal in America that is too dead, dis-eased, or dying to send to the rendering vats, the frothy scum on the top is scooped off and put into such products as vaseline, shampoo, make up, car oil. The stuff that settles on the bottom is pellatised and made up as a filler in commercial animal feed.

He loves when he gets canned food (which is iams chicken and rice) as a treat, but he seems to like his dry purina one lamb & rice formula .... And canned food doesn't cause worms, to whoever said that.

We feed our puppy Nutro dry for Large Breeds. She likes the chicken, rice and oatmeal formula.

I feed my St. Bernard Iam's Large Breed only. He has a very sensitive tummy and gets sick way too easily. I would definitely not feed my big baby any cheap food.

She actually likes veggies and stuff that I make for her, but she (thankfully) likes house brand (Shop Rite) chicken in gravy for a canned food. It's cheap and it's nutritionally ok.
