I find that the Asics 2110 are the best running shoe for me. I've been using that series of shoe for the better part of 13 years of jogging - injury free. I jog about 400 miles per year - relatively short jogs of 3 - 5 miles, several times a week. The gel cushioning absorbs much of the shock and the sole design is perfect for my stride (I strike on the outside of my heel and roll to my instep).

I've tried Nike and Saucony and a cheaper pair of Asics, but they all led to aches and pains in my legs and feet within 5 - 10 jogs. When I switched back to Asics 2110s, those aches and pains disappeared after about 2-3 jogs.

Also, as I near about 350 - 400 miles, I start to develop slight aches and fatigue in my legs as the gel cushioning wears down. That's when I know it's time for a new pair and once I have those, my legs feel fresh after a couple jogs.

It's possible that every person has their own perfect shoe that matches their stride and style and that I just happened to be lucky enough to find my early on in my running career. But, others that I have turned onto this shoe have agreed that it's the most comfortable shoe they've had (their mieage is similar to mine - low to medium).

I have a more detailed write-up on my blog.

well bud you'll have to go to a shoe store and try on which ones fit most comfortably its very difficult to recommend shoes that are fit for all 3 of the characteristics that you've described depending on your foot and your walk and whether you'll need support or more cushioning that is why its best to go to a footlocker or running shoe store to try on shoes made by newbalance possibly avia and maybe even nike or adidas depending on your manufacturer preference

I like New Balance. They walk good, work out good and are not that expensive. They also last longer than any other shoes I have bought.

It depends on the shape of your foot. Go to a shoe shop and try some on.
