It eats through the glass as well, but very slowly! Etched glass is etched with acid.

It doesn't actually exist as such, but really strong acids are generally stored in glass which is then stored inside a metal tub. Strong acids tend to eat through plastics and wood (and paint and hands).

Acid is non reactive chemically with glass.

Acid is really strong but glass is stronger, it has more chemicals
