If a sinner who has failed to repent shall perish in hell, then does that mean they die after they have already died? If so, how does one die and remain in existence at once? Does the answer fall under quantum physics?

If one is dead and has no nerve endings, or brain, then how does one suffer? If one did suffer supernaturally, regardless, then after millenia in hell, would one become inured to the pain?

You are not with just body and mind. You are also with a soul. The soul doesn't die. The body is its carrier, its gate keeper to the next world. So when it decays, or when its time its over, the soul moves out or stays until it is commanded to leave.

In the grave, the people don't go straight to hell or paradise because the day of Judgement will happen first. So the grave is the place where the punishment or the reward or taste of paradise begins.

It is there when the Angels come to ask you some questions. Man, hope you got yourself ready and you have done the deeds, and lived the way God has said to live because there is where hell starts.

If answered wrong, not only will you be pounded with a hammer so big that you can't see the end of it, but the grave with close in on you, and your ribs will cave in and the pain is so unbearable, that it is said, if human beings heard the screams they would die on the spot.

The soul is the key. It is this which will feel the joy or pain later on.

Not surprising that this is confusing. And it can be complicated with all the theories out there. The problem is the mistaken belief that the "soul" will live forever, which has crept into modern Christianity. It isn't what the bible teaches however. "The soul that sins, it shall die." is very direct and to the point. Genesis sez that God breathed the breath of life into Adam and he "became a living soul". Therefore, breathe and body make up a soul. At the final judgment all who have failed to have trust in God will perish in the lake of fire, and the results of that will go on forever. They will not burn forever. If you doubt this look at Sodom and Gomorrah. The bible sez they would burn with an everlasting fire, but they are not burning to this day. Therefore it must mean the consequences would be everlasting, don't you think. Same at the end of days.
This is very simplistic and I don't have my bible at hand for the direct quotes or references. I am sorry about that, but you should be able to find them in a concordance.

You're thinking close minded and physical. The Body dies, The Soul goes on Forever and No the pain is until the end of Time and one will not become inured to the pain ...

I was once told to imagine the Earth as a solid Ball of Stainless Steel and a tiny Sparrow flew around the Earth barely touching the Earth with the tip of it's wing until the Earth completely eroded. Then and only then would Forever Begin...

You can not perish in hell. You can lose out on living forever happily with God and be thrust down to hell...to suffer for your own sins...pretty horrible fate...Your spirit I believe can feel..but not like you and I fell physically and quantum physics well I do not know about those kinds of things..How one dies and remains in existance is that you have died a spiritual death where you can not be alive in Christ make sense well it is a little complicated...

The word "perish" is capable of more then one interpretation.
The Bible DOES NOT define the word "perish".
I think the word "perish" is used in the Bible in a metaphorical way, not in a way that we think of.
Some verses in the Bible suggest suffering consciously for eternity while others suggest total destruction.
We cannot make assumptions about the afterlife based on physical meanings of "perish" and we do not know anything about as to what happens spiritually.

How can there possibly be such a place as hell??If there is, in my opinion it's here on earth.
Look at the people starving in the third world, now surely that's has got to be hell???
When you die, yes your dead....
All that gobble **** that your on about was merely a method to control people.Where would we be if people, didn't have any respect for the fellow man?
Some form of control had to be implemented to ensure we humans acted better than the wild animals, which would be a complete disaster as the brain of most is more developed than animals(not to mention perfectly built to be brainwashable!!)

"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, From whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire"(Revelation 20:10-15).

That sinner who is condemned to Hell will perish (or cease to exist) . And in that way will forever be separated from God, not having been entered into the book of life.Their will be NO afterlife for him or her. (That is the true HELL). So if you want to go out of existance when you die, just live a Godless, immoral life and reject God's plan of salvation and his grace.

Physicists may be able to answer this question but you can bet your life that Christians will both poo poo the explanation and they will be willing to kill the infidel.
The more important question to me is: How can a loving God have the ability to conceive such a horror that no human would consider doing to a child?
A close examination of the Bible shows that Satan never did such a horrible thing to anyone. Satan simply believed he was better than God. The record is clear about that and it surprises me that Christians didn't devote more time to attributing more horrible behavior to Satan. They blew it. Other ancient myths had far better antagonists.
