Not necessarily. Because if you EXPECT the UNEXPECTED to happen it normally happens because you have thought about it so much that you actually cause the unexpected to happen.
When you look at it in the terms of the UNEXPECTED being EXPECTED, the unexpected has to have already happened in order for it to be expected.
Look at it this way: Did you expect that someone would come up with this theory? If so then the EXPECT/UNEXPECTED happened/if not, then the UNEXPECTED/EXPECTED theory happened.

I'm not sure..I often wonder the same exact thing actually....so at least i'm not alone!
Here's what i think though, if u are waiting and expecting the unexpected than i think that what you're expecting of the unexpected will not be the unexpeted that u expected to get. I think another unexpected thing will happen during this time, thus one of the unexpecteds was expected and one of them was unexpected

no, usually you get the other "unexpected". I was expecting you'll come up with an intelligent question but insead i got something totally unexpected. expect that you'll get a lot of answers which as expected will be the same like this so expect the unexpected, i was just trying to answer this kind of unexpected question so dont expect anything else.... this is all i can do to help you, what do you expect!!!!
