This has happened with the past 3 guys I've liked. They show interest, chase a bit and I finally show interest back after about 3 weeks or so and the next day they're in a relationship with their best female friend of all time. What the hell is going on? I don't know how to deal with this and just make them see me as the girl they're going to date, especially since they showed interest first.

extra details - i've flirted back, I mean actually kiss type thing. And they've kept up the interest generally. Just the week after that suddenly they get the new girl.

Hmmm I'm an older man, and it looks to me like you're getting a bunch of bums who are impatient as all get-out. Three weeks is a tiny drop of time! The previous answerers who seem to think it's glacial are as impatient as these men you've had no luck with. You need to keep in there- you'll find your patient man sooner or later. No loss for those other guys- if they can't wait three weeks imagine how rude they would be in a relationship!

Why does it take 3 weeks for you to show interest? Maybe they give up and hunt elsewhere? And if you're not interested, why does it bother you so much? Don't be interested just because they're interested with you. Be interested in people that you're interested in. To wait 3 weeks to show interest back, in my opinion, is an immature game that you need to grow out of before you could take any relationship seriuosly.

If it took you 3 weeks to show interest back at them, then I am sure they got tired of waiting. Life is short, and don't want to waste time trying to get to know someone that isn't showing any interest.

They ain't worth your time because the girl they getting with now is a girl thats giving them what they wanted from you well guess what its true what the parents say most guys are only after one thing and it doesn't matter what girl gives it to them

it sound like maybe you should stop toying with ppl for three weeks. maybe only two and a hlak weeks would suit you better. Maybe youre not worth a 3 week chase. dumbass
