We usually sleep laying down but have been known to sleep sitting in chairs watching TV or reading. I use to sleep at work sitting in a chair still moving my hands the way I would if I were awake. No one ever caught me cause they thought I was working.

Sometimes I sleep like a corpse, other times I'm awake every two hours. Sometimes I snore like a drunken sailor, other times I sleep quietly. Sometimes I sleep on my side, occasionally on my back, most frequently on my belly, and even sometimes sitting in a chair. There's no apparent connection between the bouts of insomnia, the sleeping position, and the snoring.
I don't make a good sleeping companion.

We tend to sleep with dreams. Yeah. It's pretty simple. Turn out the light, close our eyes and dream. I usually sleep well, unless I'm under stress, have an athsma attack, or I'm anxious. Why? Did you have a bad dream.

I sleep mid way between deep and light. Though, we sleep with less noise.

I sleep on my side, hugging a body pillow. If I try to sleep on my back, I feel like I'm choking and if I lay on my stomach, my back hurts. My husband gets jealous of my body pillow sometimes, but he doesn't like to snuggle while sleeping anyway, so he gets over it!

good question, you will find sleep disorders in women more than you will in men, women are twice as likely as men to have difficulties falling asleep or staying asleep, younger women have sounder sleep with fewer disturbances, some women are prone to sleep. many young women reduce sleep to cope with work, & their roles as mothers & wives. during the third trimester women sleep less & are more awake. i hope this is what you were looking for? or maybe i missunderstood your question.
