What was the difference between an 85 cj7 renegade, and a regular 85 cj7?

CJ7's had more options available. Bigger engines and larger tires, larger lift kits, etc.... But all the parts for each are interchangeable.

Just a trim package. Like a Ford F-150 XLT vs a F-150 Lariat. Renegade had some extra decals, color options and interior options.

mostly tape stripes, i believe the renegade package had a tach from factory as standard and the levie's seat covers as an option
on both hi back and low back seats.

Trim and eng. package. However both models rusted very quickly and both had the same crap carborator. But they are damn fun to drive...
