This really bothers me. Why do men accept this and stay? How about paying child support and being a father without being blackmailed into a relationship??

Because they are insecure and stupid. They think a baby will keep them tied together forever. A lot of women do it when their relationship is having problems. Some do it so they don't end up alone. They are a bit screwed up mentally. Men accept it because it's their own flesh and blood, they are scared if they leave they won't see the baby. Years ago it was expected of men to marry a woman or stay with her if she got pregnant, being a single parent was seen as shameful. Some people still believe that. Sometimes their familys put pressure on them to stay.

I have wondered the same thing for such a long time.. the only conclusion I can come up with is people are stupid.. No one thinks for themselves lately.. it is like we are all being fed information on we are supposed to act according to the "way it used to be" men stay because they are told if they get a girl preggy that the man thing to do is claim responsibility.. any girl overly paranoid about being alone or scared about what might happen if she has to grow up to fast know that men are brainwashed and knows how to play her cards to win the game. Maybe half the time it turns out to be a good thing but for the most part it is just chaos in the end. but yeah for the most part women are smarter and know how to manipulate men.

I guess it's like why men pretend to care about a woman and want a relationship with her when all they really want is free sex. Also remember that men have it in their power to protect themselves. No woman ever got pregnant without the help of a man in some capacity. A guy should obstain from sex until he is married to a woman he trusts or take steps to protect himself.

You must know some awful women! It is never right to have a child for any other reason than the fact that you want one, certainly never to trap a man or blackmail him into marriage!

It's not okay. Don't they realize that no husband is better than a bitterly resentful husband? And not all men will step up that far so they have messed up their lives for no reason. Any person, man or woman, should only get married if they truly want to be with that person.

sorry love...not all women are like that..infact...very few are. those that are ...sad to say ...are very immature for their age....these are the women that give all women bad names...they play mind games...not only with the mind but the heart too...however you do have a choice..if there is no love for the woman ..dont marry...admit your the father and pay the child support...and be a dad...just not a husband...there is nothing wrong with that.
no one should be forced into a relationship...but if a child(ren) are involved...do your part.
and remember ..not all women are like that!

Because, women who do that are only self-serving. God have mercy on the Children. And not all women who do this sort of thing are single, they are married!!! They want to prevent their husbands from giving up on the marriage, but it's only a temporary fix.
God forgive the human race for becoming so selfish and inconsiderate of children and other creatures too innocent to defend themselves.

It is usually someone who is very immature and living in the past. back in the day when: if you got a gurl pregnant; you married her.
that isn't the case any more, you get her pregnant , you pay child support to raise the bastard child, whoops, that may not be politically correct any more. if she wants to use the marry her mentality she has to use the terms they use to call illegitimate children.

Because they think the man is the right one for them, and that he'll stay if he's a father, and responsible. Plus women know they will need help to raise the children they want, and don't want to ask their family for help- especially if the family might immorally and selfishly control them.

This is one of the main reasons why people of high moral fiber don't have sex until after marriage. Even with the arrival of a baby, there is no guarantee that the guy will stick around and marry you.
