magic mushrooms are not illegal to pick and eat, but they are illegal if u dry them or make mushroom tea[which is nice],i wouldnt suggest taking them cause they can be dangerous if u have a bad trip, they are classed as an LSD drug, but u cant od on them, but they could cause u to commit suicide, SO LEAVE WELL ALONE, AND YES I HAVE TAKEN THEM.

Mushrooms are a fungus. Certain ones grow on trees in the different parts of the US you cook them on a grill or in a skillet like you would a vegetable or meat. Stay away from wild ones in your yard or fields. To be on the safe side take note that these are nice sometimes. More often then not they are poisonous and illegal too. There is another name for them. They are called sychodilics I understand they make you see colors. ILLEGAL. Please by all means stick to the mushrooms IN THE Grociery stores. You can get them in packages, jars or cans. If you are not sure. Please research ask questions to your doctor or nurse.
Ask questions to some one you know you can trust because their are some people who still study herbs spices roots for healing. Search the Encyclopedia on the web sites and if in doubt pplease just get them from the grociery stores. Thank you

Great! I used to have them quite often from the age 15-18 and stoped when I become a mammy! I have seen many have disturbing trips but I never had any they were all good I also think it depends on what type of person you are if your skitz I would leave well alone,but I was always happy,carefree and out going and I think that helps!

They taste horrible, but they are really good fun, they make you laugh and the trip is really intense, i love them but you need to be around people you are comfortable with. as for the law, in the UK i think it is not illegal to go up on the hills and pick them and eat them but if you bag them up and sell them it is. but i wouldn't worry bout it, pick hundreds and bag them up, bring them home and brew them up in a saucepan with some teabags, serve as a normal cup of tea, within 20 minutes you will be loving it. Make sure you pick the right ones, it doesn't matter if you get a few wrong ones but you need to look up a picture or take someone who knows what to look for. In the UK they grow from about September to October

In the United States, they are illegal.
They would be considered a controlled substance, like Marijuana or Cocaine.
I believe that they cause a hallucinogenic effect on those that partake of them, but I cannot tell you this from any actual experience, only from what I'm told.
