Does anyone know if you can travel on a cruise ship with a dog? I need to do some traveling and I can't bear the idea of flying with my old dog? If you know if I can travel on a cruise ship, could you tell me what lines allow it?

Thanks!!!

Come on! I can't be the only person who has thought that putting a dog in the cargo hold of a plane is inhumane! There must be *some * service to move a pet besides flying!

If you go to http://www.cruisecritic.com and then search for pets, you will be able to get some information. A lot of the results are because of the word carpet, so you may have to do some searching.

I believe that only Queen Mary 2 allows pets. So, that would give you some place to start and then you can work on from there. They have a kennel on board where you pets will stay and you are allowed to visit them a certain amount of time. The kennel isn't one of the best I've seen, but if you really want to take your dog, that gives you option.

As far as I know, there isn't a ship that allows you to have pets in your staterooms. Cruise lines are very strict when it comes to cleanliness, keeping up to code, avoiding illness, etc. So, even though most pets that are lucky enough to be pampered like this and go on vacations are likely to be cleaner than some humans, I think you will have a hard time finding a line that allows them in the room.

Only service dogs are allowed on cruise ships except Cunard cruises which have a dog kennel available on board. BTW, cruise ships rarely sink anymore. When was the last time you heard of one sinking and any passengers dying because of it. The dog would be rescued just the same as a human.

Cunard Lines does allow pets on the transatlantic sailings only as of right now. From New York to England and vice versa.

A good cruise agent should be able to give you more information. Speak to an agent that specializes in cruises.

Only service animals are allowed. I have been on 7 cruises and never saw a service animal on the ship. You may want to visit the web sites for all the cruise lines and it will give you the info you need.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU0QL

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Only service animals are allowed on a cruise ship. Even with the service animals, there are very tight restrictions and guidelines and there has to be documentation to prove the need for the animal on board.

I've never been on a cruise before, so I don't know about the different lines, but contact them and ask. Good luck!
