I believe in GOD, but I feel that religion and GOD has very little to do with one another. I think that "man" created religion in the image of themselves or their cultural backgrounds, but I don't feel I need to join any particular religious group or following to accept GOD; especially with all the scandal, abuse, and blood shed involve with religion, what's the point? Spirituality is my religion, and the house of worship is in my heart. What do u think?

Sounds good, an atheist is someone that doesn't believe in God, has nothing to do with religion. Your outlook on God is a refreshing change from the usual dyed-in-the-wool pew sitter.

You are not an atheist. An atheist does not believe that God exists. You may not like organized religion but, sometimes it is useful to examine what others have felt about God in the past, even if you don't agree with them. You can learn from their train of thought and not remake the mistakes that you feel they may have made. Also you may find thoughts in old religious texts that may be more to your way of thinking.
I truly believe that anyone who diligently searches for GOD will find him. So don't lose heart believe...>

I believe you are on the right track. God is all u need but forsake not fellowship with those who believe like you! You are not an atheist because they don't exist. Atheist are nothing but former Christians who are angry with God. You are not an atheist or a organized believer just a God-loving believer and so am I.

My position is religion is man's concept of God and spirituality is God's concept of man. As long as you believe in a power greater than yourself and do the next right thing you will be OK.

Well, if you believe in God, you're not an atheist. As long as you follow Him daily, your good.
And you're right, religion was created by man. Jesus said that the only religion we should have, is to love one another.

No. Theism is a belief in God. Athiests do not believe in God. You believe in God, and so you're a theist. You just don't belong to a specific religion, that's all.

If you believe in a god you are not an atheist, you are a theist. And since you have no definite religion, you are simply a theist.
