my girlfriend/coworker who was not at work today because her granddaughter was sick got mad at me because i did not call her until 7 pm tonight. I was working all day and did not get donne with work until 7 pm and she got mad at me because I waited so long to call her....does she have a right to be mad at me or should i be upset with her because she is mad at me?

Maybe it was a stressful day and she is over reacting because she doesn't know how or where to take her frustration out. It would be easier to think all her problems would be solved by a simple I'm sorry (even if you dont mean it) than for her to go on thinking she's alone in a very very stressful world. Try that tactic. Choose your battles. Some are just not worth the fight or the outcome.
I do think she is over reacting. I don't think you should be angry that she doesn't know where to take her frustration out. Just say I'm sorry and enjoy having her as your love for yet another day.

Sounds like she is not happy because her grand daughter is sick. No, she doesn't have the right to be mad at you. However, getting mad at her won't solve anything. Explain to her calmly what happened and tell her that you are sorry, but you called as soon as you were able. If she can't understand, cut her some slack. If this type of behavior continues, you might have a serious problem on your hands.

I think you both have the right to be mad. Her - because she wasn't at work and you didn't call to find out what was up. You - cause you were working and didn't get done till later. It's a catch 22.

She was obviously hoping for a phone call from you the whole day! Was it so difficult to just give her a quick 1 minute phone call to say hello and see what she is doing and let her know that you love her and you'll see her later??? Girls are like that. They like hearing from their boyfriend often even if it is just a little text saying 'Hi, thinking about you, busy at work, see you later, love you'. Now go and apologise to her and make her happy the way you would like her to be!

It's a breakdown in communication she is mad because she thinks you didn't care enough to see where she was and your mad because you were working and called when you weren't busy next time call on your lunch break and good luck to you both

did you promise you were going to call earlier for some special reason? If not then no she should not be upset BUT this is a woman thing. They often expect phone calls regardless of when where how. They want you to show attention. No need to be upset at her let it blow over, buy her a rose. It'll be good

The answer is simple ... you should have called her aas soon as you realized that she wasn't at work ... women need to think that we are thinking about them 24/7, your failure to call her, gives her the opinion that you were not thinking about her ... Buy some roses and a bottle of wine ... making her happy will be much more fun!!!

She definitely is being way too hard on you. If you didn't get off of work until 7 then she needs to chill out. She sounds like a jealous girl and make sure you tell her to calm down or your out. You don't need to put up with this girls drama.
