Because he doesn't want to know what it is like to look out the window and see the military squad car. Then see the gentleman dressed all nicely tell you your son/daughter is MIA or deceased.
Shouldn't root for a war you wouldn't fight yourself!! Damn him!!

No parent better be sending their kids to war. Every man or woman has to decide to put on that uniform for themselves.
If my daddy was rich like W, I probably would not have taken the military way of life. Sad, but true.

The reason that President Bush doesn't send his children to war is that we are an all volunteer military. No parent can force their child to join the US Military. This applies to politicians children as well. If they wish to join or not that is entirely up to them.

Well, they are of legal age and will tell him to go to hell. Maybe because he is somewhat of a hypocrite, maybe because he knows the truth about the mess he made and doesn't want to put his kids in harms why, maybe he doesn't think that helping his friends get rich is a good enough reason for his kids to go to war, or maybe his mommy won't let him. I mean seriously, how could a father ask his kids to go to war when that father shirked his duty?

Why should he?
Every man and woman in the U.S and British armed forces is a volunteer and presumably is bright enough to know that part of carrying a gun for a living is that you will be expected at some point to go and use it.
No-body forced them to take the governement training and pay.

Don't Hate. Military life is a choice and voluntary. We can all serve our country in our own different ways. Saying military life is for the poor is just ignorance. We have well educated people that are not struggling to get by.

Probably cause it's his children's own decision whether to sign up and everything or not. Besides that, wouldn't that be a big security thing? I'd bet within the first hour there would be a huge attack on them and plenty of people would get killed. They would obviously attack them because the are our leader's kids.

I thank God that Bush didn't have a child in Iraq with my son cause everyone beside them would be in more danger then they are now. If you want to be in war with any presidents child go for it but don't go around my child when they are with you.

I would imagine that would be up to his children and not him! If one or both of his daughters wanted to go into the military, I'm sure it would be their choice. Parents don't send their children into war. Their children make conscious decisions to join the military and if it is war time they may be deployed to that war!

In medieval times that's exactly what happened or you would bring dishonor to the country. But what we have now is a dishonorable administration so how can they help but to bring even more dishonor upon themselves. Honor, in fact, seems to be having a rough time of it lately anyway. This place could use a good dose of honor.
