This is a great refreshing drink in the summertime. It consists of vodka (1oz. or more), splash of triple sec, cranberry juice and squeeze of lime.
I first heard of the drink quite a few years ago when Phil Hartman (Saturday Night Live) was killed by his wife. I'm not sure which, she went out drinking cosmopolitans and came home and killed him or killed him and then went out drinking cosmopolitans.
I used to call it the husband killer drink. I used to drink it and dream about killing my husband. I divorced him instead. Seriously, it really is a very refreshing drink.

My favorite Cosmo recipe is 1 1/2 oz. Absolut Kurant Vodka, a splash of Rose's lime juice and 1 oz. cranberry juice poured over cracked ice in a martini shaker. Stir, chill and strain. Squeeze a wedge of fresh lime into the glass just prior and go ahead and drop the shell in. Always serve chilled and strained into a chilled 'up' glass; or one with a stem so as not to warm the contents as you enjoy. It's really luscious!

it's vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and lime. a classic cosmo is always with cranberry juice, otherwise it's just a cocktail in a martini glass. try it with different flavored vodkas, like madarin absolut, or peach tasty.
