babysitting?

im starting babysitting. i need to know a lot. so anything on babysitting from getting the job to changeing and feeding! please help. i want the kids i sit to call me the best babysittier in the whole wide world! thanks! -ames

1) make sure you have a list of phone numbers for the parents, relatives and a neighbor you can call in case you need help
2) the number for the police( in case you don't have 911)
3) the number for the fire( incase you don't have 911)
4) tell the parents to write out the schedule and to tell you what food to feed the children and when
5) aske the parent what rules they want you to follow tell them to write them down
6) sit the children down and tell them that you must follow the rules and the schedule the mother gave you but you intend to make the very happy.

Remember that children need spontineity as well as a schedule that means every now and then do something that will be a surprise like make a tent with the balnkets and table..

Never yell, tell the children what you expect from them so it is not a surprise when they need to do something.

remember to read and cuddle...and don't forget a nap or rest time.

If you want 2 b the best babysitter in the whole wide world then u got 2 figure out what they like and don't baby them sometimes you have to bribe them with what they like in order for them 2 listen 2 u. Good luck!

Your first priority is their safety. Check out your local Red Cross office and see if they offer a babysitting course. If they do, plan to go and use that as your advertisement for more jobs.

You trying to get with the kids brother or something? Just kidding, but when you babysit kids, you gotta' look in their perspective, and try to remember back when you were their age and what you liked to do.

do your best the once adive i going to give you is sometimes in a babysitter the baby needs to be diaper change a lot even if it has poop or pee in it then change it right away not later now that will make the baby happy your chaning there diaper

take a class thru the Red Cross and get certified... they'll teach you a lot

just do u best ..dont be mean..but dont be easy either..if u let them do what they want they might get into danger...goodluck with the kids...i bet u will be the best babysitter ever!
