You'll pretty much be able to tell the signs. just try to be friends with the guy. So if he doesn't like you he will soon.

He's probably shy, so you need to take the initiative. Start just by saying hi and see if he responds. Make a comment about the homework and see how he responds. If he likes you, he may be a little reticent at first (give him a chance to warm up), but will then be more friendly. Take it from there. (If he doesn't respond in a friendly manner after a reasonable period, you know the answer's not what you want to hear). Good luck.

Sometimes he may flirt with you in little ways. He might wink, smile at you, be extra nice to you, or might just even look at you a lot. Maybe you could try to ask one of his friends about who he likes or something like that.

he keeps looking at you, talking to you, bothering you (teasing). any thing he can to have your attention.
