I have an american eskimo puppy 7 weeks old. I went to the vet and he dewormed him. The lady I bought it from wasnt a good person so he never had anycare. I have to force feed him this special food. I use a needle thing and give him 2 cc's every hour. Some times he holds it down other times he pukes a little of it up. I heard that pediolite can settle his stomic. I was wondering what else I could do to help him get all better again. keep in mind that the worms made him anemic so i have no idea what to do.

You can give him Pepto-Bismol, 0.5-1 ml per 1lb or 1/2 - 1 tsp per 5 lb, to a maximum of 30ml or 2 tbsp up to 3 times per day, or 1 tablet per 15lbs up to 3 times per day.

You may want to try some Gatorade. I also think the puppy needs to be eating Puppy Chow. If it continues, I would send the vet bills to the lady I bought the dog from. In most cases, it is illegal to sell ill pets. Good Luck, and Hope ALL works for the best.

Take him to a vet! They'll know better than anyone on Yahoo (unless there's a vet on yahoo lol). His health sounds very fragile, so get professional care as soon as possible rather than trying a bunch of remedies that people give you on here. ok? I just wouldn't want to see anything happen to him in the meantime. You can also try your local SPCA, sometimes they can be a BIG help with dealing with sick or neglected animals because they get them all the time. Good luck!

This pup is too young for otc's. Call the vet and ask about a high calorie supplement that they sell at pet stores. It is high calorie with vitamins and is made for sick dogs who don't eat.
Two cc'c every hour does not sound like enough food for this pup. The vet might give you something for the stomach.

My dog, who is almost 14 years old, throws up about every 3 days. I was told by different people at a Pet Show to give her canned pumpkin and goat's milk. She didn't like either.
Take your puppy to a vet. There could be something else wrong for sure. . .

Dogs like to eat grass when they feel ill. Get him out onto some long grass. It'll make make him puke out what ever is making him sick. It also comes out the other end, also a benefit. They also respond well to baby food. From the jar, veggies and meats. Save the the fruits for treats. Use the syringe for feeding, give him as much as he'll take.

I'd take him back to the vet and let the vet know what's going on...sounds like it may be a little more serious than worms and taking "generic" advice might cost your little pup his life...be careful with him!

you definitely need to get a good vets opinion. there so many reasons a puppy could throw up, and alot of them are very serious and need to be treated. the poor little thing.

DOn't take any OTC advice here. Call your vet and see what they have to say. They'll be able to help you since they know the dog and the situation. Good luck to you. : )

You took him to the vet? Did they check the puppy for parvo?
What did the vet say to do? Is it working? Will it not nurse from its mother?
