Lots of Indian food features high-protein pulses, like lentils (found in dal and other dishes).
Then of course there's lamb dhansak, chicken biryani, prawn vindaloo. What kind of protein do you want?

Any Indian dish featuring chick peas or lentils served with rice or bread will give you lots of protein. The most common ones would be channa masala (chick peas) and dal (lentils).

You can also get a complete protein from milk products, so any dish with paneer (fresh cheese) or yogurt. Lassi is a particularly delicious yogurt drink that I highy recommend.

Sprouted daals like moong dal has more protein than the regular dry variety. So,try to eat more sprouted stuff. Also, try soy products. You can add soy beans to your salad or just mix it with other veggies while making pulao or curries. It tastes great & is full of protein. You can also mix silken tofu with atta, instead of water to make rotis & that will give you protein too.Good luck.

I love Indian food. I eat it and cook it sometimes for dinner (I'm white) but it's good to try other things. I don't eat my ethnic food very often.
