I've been a believer all of my life and over time I have found that the faith withstands the strictest scrutiny. Faith is a reasonable belief and a worldview as to how the universe is ordered, who created it, what is likely to happen to the universe (it won't last forever) and what my purpose is on this earth. Most people struggle to find meaning or purpose, or try to pretend that life has no purpose. Whether I am right or wrong, my belief system has brought me peace of mind and contentment in every circumstance I've faced so far. Go ahead and laugh you all.

I can handle it just fine when someone ridicules the son of God. Usually, the ridicule is directed at a religious archetype, not the Messiah I know. It is the Christian religion taking it in the shorts by the silly people who are so insecure that they have to make fun of it. I guess that is fair game. I find other religions almost too easy to laugh at. This isn't a contest of relgions ... the message of Christ, or the good news, is that we are all God's creation, all his people, and we are all saved in his heaven. I'm not able to remember a time when the best hope of a Christian was to strap explosives on himself - or on his children - and blow himself up in a public market in hopes of killing a bunch of innocents. Maybe it happened in the "dark ages" but I don't remember that part from my studies of medieval history.

You are saved by grace alone; you don't need to do anything to "earn" your place in heaven. If you never picked up your "cross" again, but still believed He died for your sins, you would still go to heaven. God is the author of humor, by the way. Is your faith in God so insecure that you are swayed and ruined by someone else making fun of God? The bible itself says that the only true sin is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Don't get so upset if someone else makes fun of God. Just because you believe doesn't mean they do. Also, none of us truly "knows" God. We have impressions of Him based on what we have been taught and personal experiences, but until we die, we cannot truly know someone we haven't seen, met and had conversations with. Also, judge not least ye be judged with the same measure.

although I'm in agreeance with you on the particular subject, I can't say that you're manner in presenting you quarrel is very "Christian". To be most Christlike, you should in fact encourage others to follow the teachings of Christ and not "I pray to god that all of you that is and want to make fun and bash jesus christ's holy name will one day wake up and realize that you are making a big mistake".

Maybe an approach like, "Jesus still loves you even though you bash his name. So feel free to go ahead with your slander but rest assured judgement will come to you".

I also am a Christian...I like what you are saying, however I feel the need to tell you how important it is to capitalize the name of Christ/Jesus...It is a respect thing and also proper pronunciation. I think it is a horrible thing to hear anyone deny that Jesus died on the Cross for our sins. Here we have a man that lived a sinless life in order to free the souls of all of us sinners. They hung him on a cross. They beat him for absolutely no reason. People hated him and he was so wonderful and perfect. He is my Lord & My Savior and I love you as my Christian brother/sister for inspiring this answer/question. May God Bless You through his Son Jesus.....

You implaying that we don't know the Jesus, you are wrong. We do. It's right in The bible. Jesus ( trinity) Create evil him self before he could give away the free will. Jesus Genocide the whole planet ( which will be the dream of the dreams for devil him self) in Great Flood. Jesus Destroys and kills and tortures ppl in Sodom, Babilon and so on. And i would agree with you we should not be able to make fun of this but Cristians do.
Telling me that My god is Murderer, Criminal, Jelaous , Unjust, Created high morality like letting us eat animals but let animals feel the pain. Well Cristians are making not only fun of the Jesus they also making him a HUman popet who inherit every human sin.
Therefore GOD exists.

First of all, this isn't really a question...is it? But that aside, despite the fact people do and will make fun of anything, including that which others find holy, that is not grounds for you to turn around and criticize others. I'm sure your heart is in the right place with this post, but I would urge you to be very careful in how you present your beliefs to others if you are genuinely interested in them listening. Remember - being Christian is supposed to be about winning souls, not debates.

So you think all you have to do is pick up a cross everyday?? Whatever happened to loving your neighbor or making the world a better place? You are so lazy sitting around on your cross hoping to die so you can go to heaven. I will pray for you and ask that God help you see your lies and motivate you to contribute something positive to our society.

I don't know what the question is here so it's a bit tough to answer. Ostensibly it appears that you don't like the reaction you get to the things you believe in strongly.

There is nothing offensive in your opening statements of your beliefs. Just remember that there are a world of people that believe differently and it works for them the way your faith works for you. I don't think anyone likes being told that what they believe in strongly is wrong.

Maybe you should read your concluding sentence and see if you are headed that way. I believe your founding leader was pretty clear that you are to love your enemies. Make sure you aren't drawn the other way.

I dont think anyone is fully bashing Christ. I jsut think people, as human beings with free will, are expressing their opinion in a very negative way. Everyone has their right to opinion ragarding religion. If they wanna bash on Christ, then it's their decision and they're the ones getting screwed when they find out they're wrong :P
