I don't exactly understand your religion. Is it that you worship Mary or Jesus? Or do you pray to Mary but worship them both? And do you believe that that Jesus and God are two different beings (well, not beings but you get what I'm saying) or are one in the same....sorry, I'm clueless.

Hello,
I am an ex Catholic. Catholics will not say that they worship Mary but they pray to her, burn candles to her, offer adoration to her and some say that she is the co-redemtrix ( part of the salvation of man). Thus, it is all in how you define "Worship"
Catholics believe as other Christian denomination in the Holy Trinity, that is, three persons of God, the Father, The Son and the Holy Ghost.

We worship God and Jesus - we do not worship Mary - we ask her (through prayer) to pray for and with us and we thank her for having Jesus. We believe in the Trinity - where the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit are both separate and the same at the same time....

We worship Christ like the other CHRISTians. Catholics pray to Mary so she can pray for them. We believe in the Holy Trinity the father, the son, and the holy spirit.

Catholics worship God alone. God is considered one in the trinity (father, son and holy spirit). Catholics do not worship Mary, but we do pray to her so she prays for us. Since we believe in the communion of saints which is the idea everyone on earth and in heaven can pray for us to God. Similiar to someone asking a friend to pray for them.

Catholics also pray directly to God.
They can and do read the Bible.
They religion is based on both Scripture and Tradition.

We worship only God, the Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Catholics and many other Christians believe in the Communion of Saints where all saints are intimately related in the Body of Christ, a family. When you die and go to heaven, you do not leave this family.

Everyone in heaven or on their way to heaven are saints. You, me, my deceased grandmother, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Mother Teresa.

As part of this family, you may ask your family and friends here on earth to pray for you. Or you may also ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Andrew, or your deceased grandmother in heaven to pray for you.

With love in Christ.
