Not necessarily. Some free people fought in glatiatorial fights just for the hell of it. A few emperors even got in on the fun, although I can't think of which ones off the top of my head. But they were mostly slaves.

Some yes some not, and some were freed after their victories ( if they win the battle and still live)
Another Q is , are the Angels from heaven are human Slaves? That's what bible says and bible is true coz bible say it is.
Therefore GOD exists.

yes they were but they could win their freedom with success in the arena, some gladiators became freemen and even rose to the roman senate.

NOT ALL WERE SLAVES. The best were free but choose to fight because they loved it. They were often given best armour and spared if injured in battle.
