Open the phone book and look for your local police department's "non-emergency" number. Call it.

Good luck finding a police department that will even take a report on a cell phone. Most big cities won't and the insurance companies for the cell phone companies know that.

I've gotten replacements several times without any grief. Just tell them it's gone.

The police have no time to deal with such petty matters.

For this type of police report, you are better off going to your local police station and filing it in person. They will never come to your house for a 'lost' phone.

call your own cell#. if anyone answers, tell that person that your phone is bugged by the FBI and he needs to surrender it to the nearest police station. Tell him your phone is the only witness to a crime and it needs to be cross examined...

Wouldn't you just call your cell phone carrier? I don't see what the police can do about it unless it was stolen.
