She used to love them, but recently spent a couple of weeks with her grandmother and now she screams, cries, and throws a tatrum when I even mention the word bath.

Try taking baths with her. My mom used to take baths with me and that was fun. And maybe when she was at her grandmother's house, something bad happened.. like soap in the eyes or putting her foot on the drain and she thought that she was going to get sucked down. Toddler's hang on to those experiences, so maybe she's scared something bad will happen.

im no expert but i hated baths when i was 3 try making it a bubble bath.also next time you go shopping pass by the bath toys aisle with her and ask what toys she wants that way she'll enjoy the bath and that will lower the tantrum levels. also if that helps try asking her gandmother if she did this the first time she got there or during her visit there. and if so ask if she knows why.

im only 14 but i have a 4 year old sister and this happened to us before. so i hope that this helps.

get her some bath toy and show her how to have fun in the tub. sit by the bath and splash and play with her. also make up some games with her. tell her it is just like a pool but smaller.

Is it general? definite...maximum mom and father bathe youthful little ones mutually. As on your perspectives on nudity among the kinfolk, it rather is wholesome...putting a feeling of shame on your little ones on their bodies reasons any style of subjects. although, you apart from mght would desire to instill a feeling that nudity is purely ok interior the appropriate cases, and would teach them what *is* ok. the only element i in my view have any concerns approximately is why your Daughter turns on your Son beforehand you whilst she's scared. it would desire to point no longer something, or it would desire to point some thing. i'm no longer a baby Psychologist, yet my concept is that Mommy and Daddy would desire to be her chosen protectors. there's a small threat that it would desire to a have confidence project. stable success!

sit at the edge of the tub with your feet in the tub, giving her room to move and get comfortable with water again, let the water run luke warm, she will become curious of what its doing and want to play in it, slowly pour water on her, and let her get used to it again, perhaps don't announce bath time, she may have gotten a scare at her grans house, and will need a bit to forget it, but don't holler or make it a difficult thing cause it will scare her more

I would do the hokie pokie with my kids to get them to like bathing. But remember that they are kids and there will be many instances when they don't want to get a bath down the road.

Give her some new toys. Or tell her all she has to do is get in and clean up, and only do that. Ummmm...... That's what I do with the almost 3 year old I nanny for. It works for me. you could also tell her that if she doesn't she will get sick. That works for me too. Well good luck.

Make a game out of it: cute puppets/ washcloths, mickey mouse or cute character shampoo, just make baths seem like a necessary but fun task and she'll get over her fear...
