Our puppy does not want to pee on her pee pads. We have one placed downstairs in her play pen and one upstairs for her convenience. We had to buy pee pad holders because she was ripping up the pads from the sides, but now she just rips them up from the middle. When we come home and take her out of her play pen, she will pretty much go to the bathroom right then. We cannot take her outside regularly since my husband and I both work for significant parts of the day. Please help. Thank you!

We have 3 dogs which I have house trained, I dod not like the idea of pad or paper training myself because then after you train the mfor that you have to train the mfor outside!

I would crate train, it is great! My hubby and I both work our dogs go to their kennels (well our pit goes into the bathroom because of his size) they stay there during the day then they go out as soon as we get home. One key to crate training is to go straight from the crate outside then reward them with treats for going outside.

GO to a local pet store or surf the net for more details!

I can help you there! Well.. first of all. If she doesn't use the peepads, where does she go? Thats how my puppy got on pee pads. I would put one WHEREVER SHE PEES. So i have 3 pee pads in one room! LOL. But they're midly close to each other. I just covered up those 3 places to make sure she won't pee there. Anyways, put on there. She'll just start peeing there. Just cover the whole place with them, and slowly take them away one by one. Then u can start moving the pee pad to the restroom or wherever you wish! If you catch her peeing in the wrong spot, just pick her up, and let her finish her business there. And don't clean up the pee pad if it's only pee because you want her to smell it and get use to it. I only clean it up if it's poo because i bought the arm and hammer and it elimates all the orders like you can't believe! really awesome. I hope that helps.:)

House breaking can be a bit of a task, especially since you both work and are unable to be consistent with it. I would recommend that you check out a book or even check the net for information on crate training your new puppy. I have had more success with crate training moreso than puppy pads. They never worked for me. Actually for my min pins puppy pads ruined them...the puppy pads were soft and resembled their blankets...to this day my min pins think that peeing on any kind of cloth is okay...

Pee pads only work if you can be around more often that you are describing.

When I had that situation, as soon as I got home, I would immediately grab the pup and put it on the pee pad...when she got older, she was able to hold it to where I could immediately let her outside after letting her out of the kennel.

Good luck.

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/nycqQ

If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.

It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.

the old school idea was to rub the pups nose in the puddle telling him/her bad bog several times while slapping gently with a loosely rolled newspaper[ it doesn't hurt but makes a lot of noise], then when the puppy goes where it is suppose to reward with great praise and a small treat. has worked more times than i care to remember if the animal has any sense, so dogs just will never learn.
