If so did they do it? And how did they react?

Me and my guy didn't want to use condoms anymore, once we knew we were each other's other half. And we just produced our paperwork from our last 3 physicals, which included all of the blood tests. We didn't have to ask each other - we were just on the same page and THAT brought us even closer together.

In looking at the other answers, I'm a very lucky woman to have such a understanding man, who was not only looking out for me, but for himself too! (some folks (females, in particular) tend to care more about others, than they do themselves)

If your partner gives you any guff, just nod - and walk away. You must stand firm in protecting yourself, because sex is life and/or death, these days.

I imagine that lots of people have asked their significant other to get test for an STD. I couldn't say on the other questions, as I've never spoken about this to anyone who has done it.

Well, it depends on how much u know this person and how much u trust him. If there's any doubt, find a way to let him test for it without giving him the idea that u do not trust him. It's for both of ur health, there's no shame or emmbrassment. Good Luck!

Anyone that's sexually active has Human Papilloma Virus. HPV. Technically, that's an STD. I don't see what the big deal is about asking someone to get a test or why they should raise a big deal about it. I wouldn't. If you're gonna **** 'em you have a right to know what bugs you're swapping with them.

Well, I did, and it did not go over too smoothly. The accusations and such. The trust was really hard to accumulate back. If you ever have a secret like that, you have to be up front about it. You don't want to find out your partner had herpes when you discover you have contracted it.

If you don't ask your partner..you are taking a SERIOUS risk..yes..ask..and you also take the tests so that you both will be safe. It called realistic and responsible behavior.

I was with this guy, got pregnant, went for check up got told that I had an std, was very hard to tell him---the dr told me that he had to quit drinking for 1 week and both of us had to take these pills, my daughter could be born blind if we didnt,
so i told him and used that she could be blind if we dont. and he did for the week for me and our baby, was mad at first,
but when I told him how it affects the baby, he did it, and didnt complain about it.

just tell him, and he will do it if he loves his child. and dont want it hurt,
or if no baby, just tell him that he has to get it done. and now!!! that you could be hurt.
