You folks who are saying Tomato juice have never had a dog sprayed by a skunk. It is a wives-tale. My dog got sprayed, it does not work, no way, no how

I would recommend a good soak in vinegar water.. Fill your bath tub up just a little and add a healthy amount of plain household vinegar.. Take a sponge or a cup and scrub her down.. She may smell like an italian salad for a couple days, but when it fades she'll smell good as new!

Seriously, dilute white vinegar with water and rub it into the poor pup's coat. Just be careful around the eyes and mouth. Then, use a mild shampoo to get rid of the vinegar smell.

You'll want to start by bathing her in tomato juice, and then use a baby shampoo to finish up. Be very thorough, scrub into her skin, between her toes, between her hind legs, behind her ears, under her collar (you may even want to replace her collar). Rinse very thoroughly, and towel her dry. Don't let her air dry too much.

If a good bath doesnt do the trick, i would advise using tomato juice or tomato paste. thats what they use for dogs who like to play with skunks:)

Best thing to do is keep bathing her with dog shampo thats got natural oder killer rather then in tomato juice like many others say. all that does is cover the stench.
