This is probably in an FAQ, but I just ask here.
I am running XP SP1, I have automatic update set to
"ask me before download", then it shows XP SP2 as one of
the update and I click it to download.
It has been 4 days, the download still not completed or probably
didnt start yet?? dont know.
Does anyone has this problem?
All the other updates were done like that before and completed while I was watching.

Thanks in advance.

you must be on dial up?
if not I believe , at least it was this way a year ago, MS will send you a free copy of SP2 on cd rom, delivered right to your door,
if you have a bogus version of windows, try googling MS updates thru a non ms site.

I suggest that you runn a syeware program and a anti-virus program
my two top picks are spyware doctor ($20)
and norton's anti-virus 2006 - no firewall - ($65)

they coxt but they so saved my butt over and over again!!!

this will help you install xp2 and it will load in 1/2 hour or less base on your internet connection 3 minutes for Dsl (Minee it did)

1. Check your internet connection, make sure you are connected!
2. close anything Microsoft releated (namely, Outlook Express, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word, Etc.)
3. in XP: go to www.update.microsoft.com
4. have it scan your computer to produce things that need to be downloaded

5. download them... If you lose your connection or if it stops, it will resume.
