broke my heart and left me with a baby. I have met someone who has all that i'm looking for. But i just can't get attached for some reason. I'm afraid to love someone again. PLEASE if anyone has been in this situation before, help. How do I get over the old heart break? How can I learn to trust again?

well you just need to realize that the guy you love right now is not the same person that hurt you, you need to slowly let him in, take baby steps, and the most important thing, let him know that you love him but that you need to take baby steps on trusting him completly with being able to open up. tell him its not that you dont want to open up its just hard cause of what happened to you. tell him you need support from him on the baby step thing, and if he loves you he will. but as far as taking them, you realy have to push your self, you have to try hard to take one step at a time, but if you dont you will loose the one man that means everything to you and that will hurt worse than what happened to you last time because you will know that this one would be your fault for not trying . speak to someone, make an apointment with some onethat specializes with this stuff just so you can learn how to take those important steps. good luck.

It's not easy to trust again - I still am not able to. I think if you find the right person you should take the jump and just risk getting hurt again. Follow your heart and if you think he's the one ... then jump in! Forget about the past, don't judge the present guy because of the past idiot it's not fair.

I have been. Just take your time. Everything may go a lot slower than it did in your first love, but if he is the one who is right for you then he will wait for you. My new guy was very paitent with me, while I got over the trust issues and the beliving in him. I hope that everything works out for you!

You just have to give it time. Your new love interest if he loves you right will be patient while you work through it. Be patient. :)
