Recently we went on a long roadtrip and so my husband made a doggy safety seat for our dog. She loves it because now she can see out the window and it keeps her safe. Lots of people asked us about it while we were on the road so we think this may be a dog business opportunity. I don't want to devulge too many details but basically, it's a booster seat with a harness. It's made for a small dog (up to 20 lbs). Questions:
1) If this was on the market, would you buy it?
2) How much would you pay for it?

Perhaps my description is misleading. It's not anything like the ones you see @ Petsmart. I looked at those. I also surfed the net and many dog supply catalogs. This seat looks and works more like a child safety seat.

I saw a mother-load of them at the Goodwill the other day! Um, seems like they were about $5.

Hey,
Alot of people have doggy seats. They are great for dogs that way they can see out and be safe. There are alot of different kinda on the market now so yours would need to be different from the ones already out their.
If it is better yeah I would want one. As I'm a groomer and have to pick up dogs for people. That way there dogs get a nice ride to my place and are safe.

No.
I already have a crash helmet and four knee pads for my doggie. The seat would be a little too much.

It's already on the market, and you can purchase them at PetsMart and PetCo. I paid $18 for mine.

One of our former neighbors had such a device. She was pleased with it. I did not acquire one; however, it also prevents children (who want to pretend to be puppies) from feeling so restrained when riding with a dog or puppy.

Yes, would definitely buy one! My little yorkies are my babies!! Make them safe!
I would probably pay 50.00 a piece for a small, safe, well constructed seat!

If I drove with my dog often I might; however I, like most people, do not.
Wouldn't hurt to get a patent though.
