It's just a human response to point out others shortcomings, or be judgmental over others to distract your own flaws.
As far as religions go....there are always people trying to be "Holier than thou...."

The King James Bible says, Matthew 7:1, Judge not that ye be not judged. So no you should not judge other people. God will do that in his own time.

Yes, but until the end, I am judging everyone that I meet. It's not for damnation or anything, I just like to know who I am dealing with.

The end was at the cross and all were judged already. God saw Jesus and imputed righteousness to all.

I believe that we all start off not caring until we start seeing things wrong with others. Once we have this filter in our minds we start worrying about what those others are thinking about us. Basically it is a vicious human cycle.

Christians have already been judged! Lost souls have not-they need to hear about judgement.

Someone once told me that the things that we judge in others are the flaws that we our selves have and won't admit. I guess that's why we notice them so readily!

i agree... only God can judge me. but it's part of who we are. but we just have to be aware that everytime we judge, or start to judge, we have to stop it. we have to be conscious when it happens so we won't judge.
