Read, or do crossword/word search puzzles. Write letters, make up a story, watch the movie.

Reading is definately an option. If you want a funny book that will literally make you laugh out loud, check out David Sedaris's book "Naked".
Bring a deck of cards and invite people to play who are sitting next to you.

Why cant u take a portable cd player?? Most airlines let you do that.
If you cannot... Bring many magazines,books,or puzzle books.

I suggest you get a good book. Also, grab a pillow and blanket because you'll probably sleep through most of it.
