The gal that said don't use store stuff but alcohol doesn't realize what that does to your hair and hair roots. DON'T DO IT OK? Sorry answerer forgive me. But go NOW and get the lice shampoo at the drug store, about $8. Wash your head immediately. And you bed sheets with a little bleach, wash your pillow cases and put the pillows in the dryer on high heat and the heat will kill the lice in your pillows. Lice are easily transmitted. Wash your brushes and combs, hair scarfs if you wear em, anything that might have had your head and neck touch it. If they are bad you might want to flea bomb your living quarters/bedroom. The shampoo kills the lice NOW! It is toxic to them. You can always do it again the following day to double be sure. And comb out the lice and eggs. Sometimes you DO have to do it a couple times. Follow the directions on the bottle. Use dog flea soap to wash your bed blankets and stuff too. They are a real pain in the &^%$$ and cost a fortune to get rid of. Good thing you found them when you did! Good luck, they'll be gone in a few days if you clean up real good, you, your bed, sofa vacumned, everything I mentioned so by Friday you won't have to worry no more. Don't let tht girl near your brush and stuff again! That is why you don't want others to use your hair stuff and makeup ok?

First get a good nit pick. Any pharmacy will have them. Buy 2 of them. Then, you gotta go home and pick carefully for about 2 hours. Best is to get someone to pick for you while you watch t.v.

NOTE- you MUST get every single nit in your hair (nits are the eggs). This is the ONLY sure-fire method of removal. Take your time, do it right AND do NOT let them get in the carpet or on your clothes. You've GOT to put them directly in the trash.

It is a painstaking process, but well worth it. Lice SUCKS.

You will probably have to do this at least once a day for 5 days.

Go to the store and buy some Nix shampoo and scrub your head with it, mulitple times if necessary. Then buy some lice spray and spray anything you can't wash. Wash everything you can. Put your brushes and combs in boiling water for 10-15 minutes. Good luck with that.

Go to any pharmacy and buy the shampoo and head lice comb. Wash your hair, comb out all the eggs, wash again, and wash all of your bedding and anything else your head has come in contact with. Moreover, don't share hats, combs, etc., with anyone.

Drug stores have a cream that you can rub in, leave for a while, then wash out. There's also head lice shampoo available at drug stores. Most stores have it. Ask the pharmacist.

Wow......bummer
Well the quickest way is to shave your noggin- I don't think that you want to do that. I believe they like the oil in your scalp and can stick real well to your roots. Seen pics of them... very gross.
The Stuff from the store.... probably work but follow the instructions. Don't know about the alcohol bit... try it..lol
** stay away from open flames**

Get rid of combs. Don't share things for hair. Wash bed sheets and pillow cases..... very important!!

Dont get that store-bought head wash crap. Just rub alcohol all over your head and comb through it will a lice brush (you can get it at wal-mart, target, etc) They will be gone by morning.

1st: Wash and spray every piece of furnishing and clothing, including the carpet floors...pillows, comforters, etc.
2nd: Buy lice stuff for your hair and follow directions.
3rd: I know this sounds gross but it works: put mayonnaise in your hair, wrap it up tightly in plastic or a shower cap and sleep overnight b/c it suffocates the bugs and makes them all wash out when your rinse out the mayo
4th: Good luck girl, I had lice 2x in my life IT SUX!

get a special medicated shampoo or zap brush. also, wash all bed sheets and pillows so the lice will not stay there for later on.
