I'm not scared of something that doesn't exist. That's the point. It's religious people that are all scared. The only thing I am scared of is a rabid dog chasing me and my fiance on PMS. I don't think some non-existent deity controls those things.

I dont think any Atheists are scared of god. Doesnt that defeat the purpose of being an atheist? I love how self absorbed you are. You're trying to insult atheists for having a different belief system than you, but deep down you still think they believe in your god. Wake up. Not everyone is a blind follower. get over it.

God doesn't scare me -- CHRISTIANS scare me! They seem to want to make America a Theocracy, which is terrifying. I think we should teach science in science class. I like the separation of church & state. I think gay people should be able to marry. I think we should teach high school students about birth control. I believe in a woman's right to choose. Christians seem to want to make the whole world Christian, and for everything to conform to their system of beliefs. Nobody's trying to take away anyone's bible or tell anyone how to worship. Just don't force your beliefs down my throat!
Oh, and don't take it personally -- I find all fundamentalist belief to be scarry! The people flying those planes into those buildings were BELIEVERS! And that's scarry!

That's both a provocative and ironic question. The traditional religious folks are the ones who pride themselves on being "god-fearing."
I'm not an atheist but I don't believe the bible even comes close to describing the real 'God', who is nothing to fear, whether you believe in 'him' or not.

It does not scare us... Christians assume that their beliefs scare us because that is the only explanation they can come up with for us. We do not agree with their beliefs so there must be something wrong with us.

God is not somethign to be scared of, just like the tooth fairy.
I am "scared" of bible-thumping fundies who would rather burn free-thinkers alive then let them live there life in peace.

Christianity is not scary. God is not scary, any more than a movie charactar, etc. What's scary is Christians who have misconstrued the "word of God" and believe they are justified in killing you because you disagree with them. Otherwise, I'm cool with y'all, just leave me alone, you get annoying after a while. "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." - Ghandi

It can scare you because you believe in it. Its just your imagination. It happens to me a lot. I always think someones going to kill me even though it csn happen. I think that someone going to rob my house or they are just watching me. But then I think of good things. So if your imagination is big its going to happen.
