Some bright spark invented the microphone and speaker system:
Then another invented the sockets, and all the microchips to go into the computer to help make the system work:
Then another bright spark gave us IM messenger services, to use with the microphone and speaker system, on our computers:
This then made it possible to talk through cyberspace, to people all around the world, making it a smaller place!!
Then some bastard decided to give the ex-Mrs my IM Addy:

no because the pressure will block out the sound and the traveling molecules to which nobody will be able to hear unles you have a microphone on in which the sound will go to a specific place where it cannot be blocked
