ima try to keep it simple.. more of a opinion than answer because of the topic which we won't really know.
If you study science hard as hell, you will see how a single cell organism lived in the water, long ago. When they adapted... to survive for food they grew to 'cilia' (hair) on sides to move thu water after only having on hair(flagella). To get to the point... cells evolved into tadpoles. then to fish and snakes. then to amphibians like frogs or platypus which is land and water. Then reptiles and mammals that live on land. Most say the monkey group grew to human when more complex learning/thinking came...but this could be the beginning of man. Then religion to explain it all. THe big bang theory states dinosaurs could of died when a meteor hit earth and clogged the atmosphere with dust so bad that no light was here for years. No grass, no oxygen. If the bible says... let there be light... could that of been when it cleared up. The whole point is there is no way to prove anything that will satisfy us wholely. If i do not have the cross of jesus... they do not believe... if you tell them anything out of the norm... they doubt it. It will all be confusion until enough knowledge satisfies their interest whether they choose science or religion. THis is all because we are becoming in need of security thru reality and facts relating to our own patterns. Most people believe the bible for only its relating content to everyday life rather than the miracles, holy spirit, and other great feats not known or seen to man today. A scientist will help fulfill these questions as well as an interpretor of faith. It depends if your a theorist. So its a bad thing for a scientist to fail in his field. The unexplained is sorta why we even have religion. You must stop collecting facts and give faith to the supreme being....because even the single cell organism came from somewhere and the power to adapt/evolve is unexplained. unexplained gives a sense of unsecurity where we "fear what we cant control" (heights, ghost, and other scary sh/it. we feel we cant control our lives without that being explained, so we fear and act off of that. Hope i covered alot in a lil. Good luck on the answer! peace out!

Child's play. First: False. While you're right that there's no such thing as cause and effect at Time 0 (the very beginning of the universe), that is NOT evidence that God was the answer. Hell, there's no indication that there *had* to be any cause in the first place. It is entirely possible that the universe just *is*, and came to be purely by natural mechanics that we do not yet understand. But because we don't currently understand them does not mean we never will, nor does it mean that a placeholder deity is the "only explanation". Second: False. Sure, life is incredibly complex, and the chances of inanimate matter assembling itself in such a fashion *is* slim. But slim chances do not impossibility make. Consider also the billions of galaxies, each containing billions of stars, each containing perhaps a handful of planets apiece, having existed for billions of years, each of them with a range of chemical makeup and temperature variables, and the chance of life arising *somewhere* in the universe is not so slim as it would appear to be. Third: False. The objective rules and laws of our society arise from human beings being social creatures. We've had millions of years living in organized groups, and it stands to reason that, during that time, behaviors detrimental to the function of the group would be weeded out and ostracized. A group functions better if members are not killing one another or hoarding resources on an individual basis (theft). A social group's chances of survival improve with a degree of sharing and altruism, and so these behaviors would be evolutionarily selected for. Just look around at any society the world over: things like murder, rape, adultery, and theft are generally frowned upon, regardless of belief system. This implies a common system for people living with one another effectively, and has nothing to do with any "divine" influence. Fourth: False. These people *believe* they see the heavens. What they *really* see, if anything, cannot be proven. Add in the fact that these people are likely undergoing severe physical and/or emotional trauma (being near death and all), and that increases the likelihood that these visions are stress-based hallucinations and nothing more.

Would you refuse to believe scientists when in the future they conclude that the world and everything in it could only have been the result of creation? The evidence of this fact is even now overwhelming but it is not a question that science generally seeks to answer. Science (based on the limited understanding and knowledge currently available) can only tell us the how but not the why.
How, does not add meaning to our lives but the Bible can and does. It is my belief that every word in the Bible is God breathed, and intended by Him to be understood just as it is written.
For example the fact that the universe may have originated from the the Big Bang, serves only to strengthen my understanding and belief in the Bible because for me it's a perfect explaination of Genesis.
Gen 1:3
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. (KJV)
The truth here is that God spoke the universe into existance.
Another example is the 6 days of creation which appears to contradict current scientific knowledge. Now there is a scriptural basis for not taking these as literal days.
2Pe 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (KJV)
This means that God is not limited by our understanding of time. Much of the Bible is figurative and the 6 days of creation could well have been "Age Day's" and not necessarily equal periods.
Again if this is the case then the Bible is no less true because of it.
Our attentions are being diverted by these things away from the fundemental truth's that is in every word of the Bible. Let's not be decieved by these things.

Science is always self-correcting. That's the beauty of science. Religion on the other hand is dishonest in the extreme.
Mythology will never take the place of actual science and truth. And they know it too...
Oh and askdon, do yourself a favor ok? LEARN what the word THEORY means before you start typing. You make yourself out to be an even bigger idiot than we all think you are. I'm guessing you have no problem with the theory of gravity (there is NO law of gravity) or the theory of thermodynamics (nope, no law there either). But when it comes to something you simply can't grasp, automatically it's a "theory".
Moron. Read the second link, hopefully you can learn a little something. And if you don't want to be treated like an idiot, then don't be one. Understand? Good.

all i can say is those people who curse science and all its theories (a theory is accepted as fact and has been proven) stop using your computer, watching TV and driving your fancy cars because that is all from science not religion. The bible has been proven wrong time and again..and if you say the days of genesis are methaphorical days you still cannot explain how god created the heavens and earth BEFORE he said let there be light, and before he created the greater and lesser light in the skies (sun and moon), so i dont see how that reaffirms the connection btwn creationism and the big bang theory ignorant guy who answered above me. Also we have OVERWHELMING evidence that all creatures existing today did not spontaneously generate all at the same time starting out with whales and fish as genesis suggests...

Because some you evolutionists will commit suicide then to believe that a God truly exist! Creationists feel sorry for you and your lost souls and pray that you believe in God than science which some of it is man -made literature! Some Creationists do question but not out of fear but to enhance their knowledge of God and to fed their spirit man. Try it you'll like it!

I love science, and Im a christain.
so what.
The bible isn't science though, its the word of god translated through prophets to deliver a message.
I have a lot of questions, but many can't be answered by our means. like how does god move mountains with but a word. I figure I'll ask him when I meet him myself.
theres nothin to fear here.

Nope its just belief. Science doesn't have all the answers and was proven wrong with many theories. Generally a theory is valid until another better one comes along.

it's hard to know only one thing your whole life, then all of a sudden, all that you know to be true,no longer is, evolution isn't a concept, nor is it a theory,it is a fact,as for you week minded fools who continue to find safety in numbers from the real world,if you want to believe in your fairy tales you may continue to do so,just leave to rest of us the hell alone, science has to prove itself wrong as much as is possible, the day science is never wrong is the day we stop learning and growing, both as individuals and as an intelligent species, for we will have exhausted all knowledge, and the only course left to us is death, because the day you stop learning is the day you stop living
