go NROTC!!!!
naw--get in shape before you get into the program so you don't have extra pt. You need to keep your grades up too...not perfect, but good. Many people join ROTC programs and get put on probation or kicked out because they slack in grades. They think "hey, ive got a job after school I can slack off." Once you start thinkin that it's hard to go back. And get involved. ROTC has great opportunities. Good Luck.

Are you getting the certificate in Cartography? If so they have mapping units in the Engineers.
Do you even want to work in your major?
I was going to get the cartography certificate but I decided not to once I decided to go in to the Army full time.
