No, not really. Some lie a parent made up to scare theirs kids. Gum passes through your body just like most other things that you eat. It's not digestable, but so are a lot of other things that we eat. The only time that gum could cause a blockage is if you swallow a lot of gu all at once or in a very short amount of time.

no that is just an urban myth it only takes a few days for it to pass through your digestive system and because you can digest it then you go to the bathroom take care of business and that's how it leaves.
