Maybe. Nympho when in the manic state, but dfefinitely not nympho when depressed. Constantly nympho suggests extremely low self-esteenm, which this person is trying to improve by giving sexual favors and hoping to be liked and praised. She should seek counselling.

Nymphomania may not be caused by bi-polar illness, but it may be one of the SYMPTOMS> Due to a women's high energy, and restlessness, feelings of elation and "over the top" feelings of well being, although it is a false sense of well being. This occurs during the "high" or hypomanic, even manic phase of manic depression. The woman will demonstrate highly sexual behaviour and also lack her normal judgement and morals.

Absolutely. A manic episode includes (1) increase in goal-directed activity, like sex, (2) excessive involvement in pleasurable activities that have a high potential for painful consequences, and (3) impulsivity and poor judgment.
However, I wouldn't go as far to say that everyone with a large sexual appetite is bipolar.
