my father had this one dog when he was a kid and they were going to long island for the weekend.the dog stuck his head out the window and the window was too far down and he fell out.he got smashed under a truck..isnt that sad??='(

That ia a horrible thing, i myself would be devistated. Just because its a dog does'nt mean anything. i love my dog so much he's almost like my baby.My deepest sympathys for your dad.

This would be one reason I never let my dog stick her head out the window. People throw things out the window that can hurt her. Vehicles come too close.

If I leave the window down for her, I leave it just enough (3 or 4 inches) so that she can smell the different scents in the air.

YEs, that is sad...that is why I do not open up the car windows for my dogs to stick their heads out! It is cute to see them do this but I love my dogs too much to let them do it.

aww that is sad! poor doggy... but your father should have known to keep the dogs head from going outside the window...
