The only way to permanantly remove hair is by laser hair removal. It takes anywhere from 8-12 treatments ususally done about a month apart. The hair grows in cycles and the goal of laser treatment is to destroy the follicle when it is in the growth cycle (vs the resting phase or the dormant phase). It will usually reduce hair by 80-90% with the remaining hair being vellous or fine white hairs. Ask for a diode laser coupled with radio frequency (such as a Comet) or Luminis Light Sheer...they can be used on all skin types and colors and the ones with RF can be used on blonde or red hair...although with less dramatic results than light skin/dark hair. Prices range by site but you would be wise to look for a package that gives you up to 12 treatments in a year and purchase the year package. Try a dermatology practice in your area

This has been a question that myself and others who have competed in body building are often plagued with. Once all the hair has been clipped, it is only a takes a few minutes to shave everything (legs, chest, arms and face). Naire has always worked good for me to remove hair from the back area. There are more expensive cosmetic procedures that can permanently remove hair, however I have never seen the point when it only takes a few minutes to shave off in the shower.

I saw an ad that the hair under the arms cost about $90.00 to remove, I did not think that was so bad.
