Contact Michigan's DLAD. This is the agency that handles the process that you will have to go through in order to have your license reinstated. This process requires detailed documentation as well as a committment to taking care of the problem that put you in this situation. You will need affidavits from people that know you well and can verify that you are no longer using alcohol. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate a structured lifestyle and show proof of work and/or school. Once you have done these things you will be prepared to apply for a license reinstatement hearing. Finally, you may want to consider hiring an attorney to assist you with the reinstatement hearing. Do your research and you'll understand why. Good luck. No lectures.....jut this...... Drinking and driving is stupid. If you have a problem with alcohol, do something about it.

Talk to your lawyer or your judge. As well as community time I would go a little further. This action may be your ticket to a rehab center for a while for alcoholics. I am not accusing you of being one; once the case worker sees you are meaning business then you may still have to pay a fine, but chances are you will get your license back. Especially if you drive a long distant to get to work. Take time to talk to your case worker. I do not know that the internet will do you much good at this point. My daughter went through this too. Her ticket out was jail time, fine, and had to prove herself. Went through rehab. I hope this helps you find your answer.

Do you plan on getting a 3rd? If so its not worth all of the time and money involved, because you'll just get it taken away again, and maybe for good.
You'll have to get insurance, if you can find a carrier that will do it. Try Progressive.
You'll have to pay all of your fines, and take a class. Call DMV to find out where.
You'll have limited privileges at first more than likely.
Please take a cab next time, my best friend died in an accident when she was 23. She was an only child. A cab is cheaper than taking someones life, or your own.

I agree with Fuzzy. Until you're sure you have the drinking under control and won't be dumb enough to kill innocent people then use mass transit. It's worked for a year. Or, you can get your license, drink, kill and go to prison.
Just try to be nice to bubba.

You shouldn't get it back for a while. What happens when you get drunk, drive, and kill an innocent family in a traffic accident? Ride a bike, take a taxi, and learn from the mistakes you made.

Fuzzy is right. You should have learned the first time. Quit before you kill someone.
