I am trying to drink 70-80 oz of water a day or more....is that ok? Does too much water hurt and will I possibly lose some weight if I can drink that much?

That's actually not too much at all. Doctors say that everyone should drink about 64oz every day. Many singers, actors, or other people who rely on their voice for their professions drink more than that. It is possible to drink too much water, but trust me, it's very hard to do. You may lose some weight, but it would most likely just be (ironically enough) water weight that you would lose with any change in diet.

6-8 8 oz glasses of water per day is a very good goal. That would be 48-64 oz. It will help flush your system and help you lose your craving for fats & sugars. If you drink more, it won't hurt.

i doubt it would hurt you to drink that much water...however, if you are eating alot of salty foods you could be retaining some of that water.....
