i totally agree with u gurl, plus, if u noticed, its darwins..THEORY cuz he didnt want to admit there is a creator so he did scientifical "research" and BAM theres the theory.lol..

First of all, we didn't evolve from apes or monkeys. Humans, apes and monkeys had a common ancestor that has been extinct for a long time.
Secondly, a common mistake is to think of evolution as a ladder instead of a tree. Different species go in different direction and evolve from there.
Third, evolution doesn't happen in a blink of an eye. So, thats why you don't see the zoo monkeys turn into humans.
Evolution is slowly proving to be less of a theory and more of a fact every day. Birth defects in humans and animals are more common than they used to be because our environment is changing more rapidly. That's all evolution really is is just "changing with the times".
And here's something else to think about: who said that the divine deity didn't create evolution? Why couldn't the divine create the big bang?

You really are an idiot, aren't you? Could you pay attention in biology class just once? Let me try one last time, so it can get through your thick skull. Evolution does not say that humans evolved from monkeys/apes. It says that we share a common ancestor. A long time ago there was an organism that branched off into different types of primates. I don't even know why I bothered typing this because you and your stupid creationists mind will ignore this and continue to ask the same stupid question.

I think you have misunderstood Darwin's theory. Darwin did not say that we came from Chimpanzees or Gorillas or what have you. Our ancient ancestors were relatives of the apes we know today, as evidenced by fossils and genetics, but they are all extinct because modern humans became dominant. A simpler way to think of it is to look at dogs. The Dobermans and Labs and Pekingeses we have today all came from domesticated wolves, but we still have wolves around, don't we? Now if somehow the Chihuahua had evolved naturally because it had some advantage over a wolf, the wolf would have died out because the Chihuahua would be more fit to survive. Please, before you dismiss a theory, do your research and look at all the evidence.

Sounds like you never studied Evolution. Funny how you can then come to a conclusion out of ignorance and think it was valid.
In any case, the reason there are still monkeys, apes, and other primates is because that biological form is still successful. Further not every ape species evolved into homosapiens. In fact only one small group (i.e. an isolated "family" of apes) actually evolved on our path. Others evolved into homohabilis, homoerectus, australopithecus (sp?), etc. While other were the "perfect" form for their environment and were not forced to evolve out of it.
Which is why we still have other primates today.

We didn't evolve from monkeys, we evolved from a common anscestor of monkeys (or more specifically, Apes). Evolution is all about how species will branch off into different species over time and change (sometimes drastically). You have to see a picture that shows when what evolved into what. Like this:
|-common anscestor of Apes and Man
Humans/ \ Apes

Scientists don't say that. Creationists that don't like evolution say that, then other creationists accept it and repeat it without looking into whether or not it's a valid statement first.
OK... Please pay attention...
The theory of evolution says that man AND monkeys/apes came from a COMMON ANCESTOR.
NOT that man came from monkeys or that monkeys came from man... OK?
Now, please... if you want to really understand evolution and not just know the public misconceptions of it.... then read some books about it. Go to the Talk Origins website. Something.

monkeys spread onto multiple continents and when the continents split the separate places evolved differently. The places that stayed warm and foresty didnt make the monkeys evolve and adapt. the places that changed climate forced that corresponding monkey race to evolve. Then when land bridges formed from global cooling and ice forming, the newly evolved humans came back across to the continents they were originally from and then colonized the planet

mankind did not evolve from monkeys and apes.
All primates evolved from a common ancestor.
If you're going to try this arguement, at least have the courtesey to understand what it is you're arguing about.
>>why dont monkeys in the wild and monkeys in the zoo turn into humans?<<
That statment just blows my mind.
Evolution is gradual, we will never be able to see it happen in our lifetime.
Besides they don't just *become* human. They're not freaking caterpillers.

According to science-man appeared abruptly with no predecessor-fully formed and intelligent. All the missing link/ape stories are speculation. The connection from man to ape has not been made yet. There are hypothesized hominids that we should see in the fossils-but none have been found so far. They are still looking, and in the meantime we entertained with preposterous evolution stories.

Because of different species. Monkeys that live in the jungle and get along in life just fine there don't need to evolve to live. Our species evolved because we needed to in order to live.
