I just read one of the answers to that 'rash under my breasts' question and one person suggested that it was a sweat allergy. That rash thing happened to me once when I started playing volleyball - I put powder under there and it eventually went away. Also, occasionally when I start to sweat, under my arms start to itch me. I mean once I had my arms up fixing my hair (so there was nothing rubbing against it to cause it to itch). My underarms are shaved by the way. Is there anything I can do about the underarm itching thing?

Allergy to one's own sweat is often the folk term for something called cholinergic urticaria. This is a chronic condition where a person gets hives (small, itchy papules) whenever their core body temperature rises, whether due to ambient heat (such as being in a too-warm room), from sweating, exercise, strong emotions, and even spicy foods.

Sounds like a heat rash or other wise known as Miliaria (miliaria rubra, sweat rash or prickly heat). It is a skin disease marked by small and itchy rashes. Miliaria is a common condition in hot and humid conditions, such as in the tropics and during the summer season. Although it affects people of all ages, it is especially common in children and infants due to their underdeveloped sweat glands.

Being allergic to your own sweat is possible. My step-mom has this condition and everytime she would sweat she would break out in a rash. Sometimes just being hot can also give you a rash. so you may or may not be. Ask a doctor.

No you are not alergic to your sweat. I get that under my breast sometimes. You need to wash it off, then use some of that germ killer stuff, you know, that comes in a pump to wash your hands. That will kill the germs that cause that rash. Try it. It works good.
