Tolerance and Intolerance are both words used by the politically correct (PC), to condemn those that disagree with their narrow views of how a person should act and think. What exactly is tolerance or intolerance when you think about it? If I disagree with the homosexual lifestyle am I being intolerant? Many would say so, and label me a bigot. Labeling me a bigot for not accepting the Gay lifestyle, is that intolerant too? Well, i'd have to say so, because am I not being ridiculed for not agreeing with the PC mainstream?

Notice how some people who accuse others of being intolerant are themselves the worst offenders to those that disagree with their viewpoints. Like the treehugger that is willing to kill people that harm the environment to make a point. Or the people that bomb abortion clinics to make a point. The gay couples that already have the identical same rights as others, but demand special rights for themselves to marry, (society should change for them, and make special allowances, even if society disagrees with their lifestyle choice). Is being tolerant being against the war, while ignoring the people the war is fought to help? Some believe peace is the absense of war, but I say there are things far worse than declared war. The killing, raping, torture, and repression often exists during the absense of war, and it is far more devestating.

So what is tolerance? What is intolerance? I believe they are tools for those that wish to point a pointy finger at those who's opions differ from theirs. Tools to condemn, tools to attack, tools to shame, tools to blame. Disagrement is not intolerance, just like agreeance is not tolerance. People will never be in complete agreement on anything, and shouldnt be labeled for it.

Tolerance is merely the state of being observant that others think and are different and accepting that fact rather then doing the opposite.Which would be to be hateful and not accepting of everyone not like you.And those that are truly the opposite of tolerance I think they call themselves Nazi's and Skin Head's and fundamentalists.

respect for other cultures, beliefs and value systems.

Take pride in being tolerant because we are all God's creatures. Intolerance exists because Adam ate the apple and created sin.

"Tolerance" is a crock. Why should I be indifferent about other false religions that will send people to hell? I hate them! (Not the people, mind you, but the heresies.)

And have you ever noticed that "tolerant" people always seem to hate traditional Catholicism with a passion? This is because Jesus Christ said that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church. According to the "tolerant" groups, love every religion except the one that can save us....

If you are speaking of Christianity, there is no command in the bible to tolerate anything. In fact, you will not find the word in there.
