Anything short of God's perfection is sin. We as humans rate sin on a scale, God doesn't. He is a holy and righteous God who can not be in the presence of sin. But there was a plan for all that because he loves us so much, maybe you know it.
All of the following is from the Bible.
1) "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Book of Romans. Basically none of us are perfect, we've all sinned.
2) "The wages of sin is death." That's sin singular, so even one sin means we're screwed.
3) "The free gift of God is eternal Life." Woohoo there's hope here, how do we get it?
4) Anyone who has ever watched a sporting event knows this one, John 3:16-"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son so that whosoever believes in him would not die but have everlasting life...." It's free, we don't have to earn it, all we have to do is just believe. It's really that simple.
So if you're worried about what punishment fits which sins, you don't have to be concerned if you believe in Jesus and the price he paid for you. Because:
5)"He whom the son sets free is free indeed."

Karma. When a system is unbalanced, bad things can potentially happen. The net benefits (experienced by the predator) are often less than the net losses (experienced by the victim). Therefore, most of the times it's bad for society as a whole. A sin? I think not, unless you count anything that creates an unbalance in any system.

Of course it's a sin. U should treat others how u want to be treated. The Bible says that the body is a Holy Temple. would u walk around talking about oohh, ur Holy Temple is ugly. No u wouldn't. The consequence is hell, if u don't ask for forgivness.

Yes, saying mean and cruel things to or about others is a sin and you will suffer the consequences here on earth, and perhaps in the afterlife if there is one.
Think before you speak and make the right choices.
What can you say to others in order to help bring peace on earth?

The Bible tells us that the power of life and death are in the tongue.
We often times don't understand the effect our words have on others, let alone the damage our words inflict on us.
Especially in this type of format,Y/A, we are unaware of the age of those we are talking to.
This is a problem that I have faced when answering questions.
Some have mistaken my blunt answers as an attack.
That was not my intent at all.
But then those were the WORDS I CHOSE.

I believe meanness and cruelty travel like waves. The anger you unleash on a person gets unleashed on someone else and so on until its energy is spent.
Some people can absorb these actions without spreading them on.
Some people spread kindness instead.
It all depends on what kind of world you want to help build.

Yes, if you are a Christian. I can't speak for other religions.
We are supposed to emulate Jesus, walk the path that He did, do things the way He did them. And He was never cruel or mean to people, just sometimes very honest.

The biggest consequence is living a life of ignorance and stupidity.
Don't worry about the afterlife when it comes to that....worry about now.
If you treat others like dirt, it comes back in spades.

We are told to love others as Christ does. The Bible says that "to him who knows to do good, and doesn't do it, to him it is sin." God sees all sin as hideous. He hates it. Consequences vary. The Bible says some people pay for their sins on earth (Christians who mess up and pay for it naturally) and some will pay after death (in hell). Judgement is up to God. We don't have that right.
